FWA in collaboration with American Express and the Singapore Fintech Association is pleased to present a session on the future of payments. With a boom of new digital payment players in the market, what will determine which will succeed? How can regulations help spur innovation among digital payment players? What will a future of digital banks and Open Banking look like for consumers?

"Payments – Then, Now & What’s in Store" was held at 80RR Fintech Hub SG this afternoon. In this meaningful session organised by American Express, Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) and FWA Singapore - Financial Women's Association, Future of Payments were discussed with the panellists from Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Singapore FinTech Association (SFA), DBS Bank & PayPal. With the exponential growth in the adoption of digital payments in Singapore, MAS plays a pivotal role to play in the digital payments industry as they seek to build a conducive regulatory environment, to encourage innovation & new FinTech tools, while also providing safeguards for consumers & merchants. The touchpoints in today's session reinforced the importance of being able to connect the whole payment ecosystem, so they can coexist.
